Whether your current mortgage term is nearing an end or you are seeking more competitive alternatives – at Articus, we are committed to assisting non-UK residents in refinancing their UK properties. We recently received an inquiry from an existing Swiss client who was interested in refinancing their UK property as their current mortgage product had reached its expiry.

Our Client
Our client, a Swiss national, had relocated to Saudi Arabia with their family for professional reasons. Subsequently, they believed that renting out their UK property for the next five years would be an ideal way to generate additional monthly income.
As their current fixed-rate mortgage product was nearing its end, they sought the most competitive rates available to overseas residents. Unfortunately, their existing lender was unwilling to extend the loan due to the client’s new residential status. Given the rising interest rates, they were keen to secure a solution promptly.
Please feel free to access our Buy-to-Let guide for further details.
Our Solution
Fortunately for our client, Articus specialises in assisting overseas borrowers. We approached a lender that we knew would be comfortable with the client’s non-British nationality and overseas residency while providing a competitive solution.
The lender was able to offer a 5-year fixed-rate mortgage that aligned with the client’s requirements and ensured a surplus of monthly income.
Articus is a whole-of-market brokerage, granting us access to every lender and institution, thereby guaranteeing the best solution for our clients. We prioritise our clients’ interests over those of the bank.
