Our Case

Our Client
Our client was a British expat living in California, he was currently in between jobs giving him time to focus on renovations. He was looking to refinance his UK property to pay for these improvements as well as securing a more favorable rate for his expat buy-to-let. The current mortgage was £350,000 and he was looking to release £65,000.
Our Solution
In this case, we were able to identify a lender with a strong track record of working with British Expats and offered our client a two-year fixed mortgage whilst rates continue to drop. Articus Finance maintains a close working relationship with this lender and effectively overcame the challenges of – expatriate status and no current income.
Ultimately, we secured a buy-to-let mortgage of £415,000 against a property valued at £650,000.
